Living the Provençal Lifestyle at Mas Le Gaudre

A way of being, not just a place

Lifestyle in Provence is a state of mind — a way of being. It is about taking your time, living in harmony with the seasons and the passing days, and noticing the small details that shape everyday life. It’s the soft Provençal light in the early morning, the rhythm of meals shared, and the feeling that there is nowhere else you need to be.
At Mas Le Gaudre, everything comes together to reflect this Provençal lifestyle farmhouse way of living. The spaces are not designed to impress, but to be lived in — naturally, comfortably, and with ease.

Spaces shaped by everyday life

Life here unfolds across many places. The vegetable garden invites slow walks, an apéritif at the end of the day, and the simple pleasure of picking seasonal fruits and vegetables. The chicken coop provides fresh eggs for breakfast. The heated swimming pool becomes a place to float, swim, or simply sit in the sun.

The French garden offers quiet corners to read or rest, while the courtyard beside the kitchen naturally fills with conversation and long dinners under the stars. The orangery, flooded with light and facing the pool, bridges indoors and outdoors — a space that works just as well for shared meals as it does for yoga or wellness workshops on cooler days.

Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, reachable by foot or bike along small country roads, adds another layer to daily life, with its markets, shops and galleries always close, but never intrusive.

A house built around togetherness

Family reunions have always been an institution for us. We are a large family — loud, joyful, full of children, conversation, music and laughter. Mas Le Gaudre was first imagined as a place for our family to gather, to celebrate Christmases, birthdays and milestones together.

Even when it became a place to welcome guests, that intention never changed. The Mas is designed around being together, while still allowing space to retreat and be alone when you need it.

The kitchen is the heart of the house — the largest room, and the place where days are discussed and meals are shared. The living room invites everyone in, with its large sofa, piano, fireplace and views over the garden. The adjoining billiards room becomes a natural meeting point, full of games, laughter and movement.

A place to live, not to perform

What we want our guests to experience are those simple, meaningful moments with friends and family that become lasting memories. The Mas is beautiful, made with noble materials, offering comfort, space and privacy — but it is never ostentatious.

It is a place to live. An experience shaped by rhythm, light, and connection. One we invite you to share, in your own way, as part of the ongoing life of Mas Le Gaudre.
